Running Out! is an serious game about the environment. The game focusses on the scarcity of fossil fuels in the near future and how a civilization deals with the consequences of this problem. In Running Out! you control an individual who lives on a giant walking robot. You'll quickly learn that you can manipulate the robot' course by balancing your weight on the robot' head. This way you can steer the robot away from the fossil fuels in search for more renewable energy sources.

By doing so you convince the other creatures who will then start to "help" your steer the robot. The more creatures who follow you the more chaotic the steering becomes. Changing the course of history isn't as easy as it first appeared to be. Running Out! was created in a three month period with 4 fellow students.
